"I am not a fan of the dentist and I’m still not a fan of the dentist. However, I will say the staff made it easier. They understanding and patient with me. I was a nervous wreck and they did the best they could to calm me down. Looks like I have found my dental home."- C.R. / Google / Nov 05, 2022
"Everyone is super friendly, and in such a positive mood, and the doctor goes out of his way to make me feel welcomed and remembered. Overall, my favorite dentist to go to! The experience is always amazing and fun!"- D.E. / Google / Oct 29, 2022
"I absolutely adored Nikki! This was my second cleaning at this office (Mint Dentistry in general) and she was so very gentle when cleaning my teeth. I’m not afraid of the dentist but if I was I would tell any/everyone to see her. I also loved the dentist that briefly visited with me, I’m sad to say I didn’t get his name. He was so nice and had huge smiles. I loved listening to the banter in the office as I relaxed in my chair."- T. / Google / Oct 29, 2022
"I have bee hearing Mint Denistry advertisements on the radio for a few years and finally decided to schedule a cleaning appointment. The staff was very friendly and professional, from the receptionist when i entered the office on down to the x-ray tech and the hygienist and the dentist. I knew that i would need a deep cleaning and i hate going to the dentist. After the x-rays and the exam it was determined that i needed a deep cleaning and a filling. I became super nervous when i realized the dentist would have to give me shots in my gums. The dentist knew i was nervous and she was so comforting while giving me the shots. The hygienist was also comforting during the cleaning. She talked to me the whole time explaining what she was doing. Thanks to the North Richland Hills staff for the good experience!"- D.S. / Google / Oct 15, 2022
"This was my first time at Mint Dentistry and I could not have been happier. Shane at the front desk greets you with a great attitude, and the entire staff followed suit. I’m glad I made the change!"- P.S. / Google / Oct 08, 2022
Your dental bite and alignment are determined by many factors: genetics, thumb sucking as a child, the loss of a tooth or teeth, or a traumatic accident to the face. Misaligned teeth can lead to other oral health problems, including a bad bite (dental malocclusion), ground-down enamel, difficulty chewing and speaking, plus toothaches and jaw pain. If a member of our MINT dentistry team sees one of these concerns at your annual examination, we might suggest Invisalign®.
Invisalign® is great for teens and adults who would like to improve their smile but without the appearance and hassle of traditional metal orthodontics. While your aligners should be in at least 20 hours a day, Invisalign® can be removed so you can brush your teeth and eat, plus for playing sports and special events. More discreet than traditional braces, most people won't know that you're wearing your Invisalign® trays.
What to Expect
Your first set of Invisalign® trays will be made from the digital x-rays taken at MINT dentistry. You will return to get your first set of aligners and specific care instructions from your dentist. You will need to use your aligners at least 20 – 22 hours each day for the system to be effective, with the goal of removing them only for eating and cleaning. Over time, you should switch to your second set of aligners so they can continue to shift your bite into their proper position. You should plan to attend follow-up appointments as recommend by your dentist so we can check your progress and get more digital x-rays taken so new sets of aligners can be made. How long you will need to wear your aligners will depend on your starting bite and your goals. Most patients use Invisalign® for about a year.
Once you have completed your last set of trays and your bite is aligned, it is crucial to allow time for your gums and jaw to adjust to the new position of your teeth. Invisalign® Vivera® retainers are designed with the same comfortable materials as the aligner trays to help keep your teeth in place after your treatment is complete. Your retainer is custom made at the Invisalign® dental lab from digital x-rays taken once your treatment is complete. A member of the MINT dentistry team will speak with you about when to use your retainer and care instructions after it's sent back to our office. Our team will continuously monitor your teeth alignment and bite during your dental examinations.
The MINT Commitment
In many cases, at least a part of your costs for an Invisalign® treatment is paid by dental insurance. We will get more information on your specific policy coverage and then determine your personal cost. MINT dentistry accepts many different payments to cover your out-of-pocket expenses or if you aren't using insurance. At your initial consultation, MINT dentistry’s support staff can go over your estimated bill and how we can help make your Invisalign® treatment more affordable with low-interest medical financing and flexible payment plans. It's important to remember that a gorgeous smile is an invaluable asset. MINT dentistry is dedicated to helping you fit your dental care and treatments into your budget.
