Root Canal Therapy Reviews
"I have had a fear of dentist for the past 30 years due to a botched root canal that caused me to have emergency surgery. The experience I have had with Dr. Caglia and his staff (Jerin) as well as office staff has made this the most pleasant root canal. All my fears we're laid to rest and I am extremely happy with the service."- J.A. / Google / Jun 27, 2018
"I have been going to Mint for a few years now. Every single time I go in I am greeted by an amazing team. My most recent visit I cracked a tooth and was possibly looking at having to do a root canal. I was nervous since I have never had to do one before and have heard horror stories. Luckily, a dental hygienist and an old friend, Cindy Brookshire, was able to give me a peace of mind and talk me through everything. I ended up following her advice and going with Dr Caglia at the North Richland Hills location and could not have been happier. Not only did I not have to do a root canal, but he made the entire process better than I could have expected. That plus a massage chair, music, sunglasses, and an amazing staff, I don’t know how I can go anywhere else. Thank you Cindy, Dr. Caglia, and the entire Mint team, you guys rock!Sincerely,Happy Customer"- K.T. / Google / Feb 01, 2019

"I have had a lot of dental work done here and I have to say Dr. Caglia and his team are top notch. Today they were short staffed and I had a root canal and a crown done, he had done a few root canals on me and a few crowns and I'm always there for a hour to a hour and a half, today he was booked and short staffed so it took longer but I didn't mind at all because him and his staff are so sweet and caring and they always do great work. After a few hours of going from my room to another then back to my room then to another then back to mine we were done, I told him "good job doc" and he thanked me for my patience. I want to thank Dr. Caglia for helping me get a perfect smile again and let him know that this patient will always be patient for him and his staff. Thank you for your determination in making people have beautiful smiles and thank you for your patience!!"- C.C. / Google / May 20, 2023
Infections in the dental pulp are often caused by a cavity, crack, or physical trauma. Some of the most common signs that you may have an infected tooth are a toothache, swelling of the gums (around the affected tooth), and discoloration. If the tooth isn't treated, you will have increased pain and symptoms once the infection moves to nearby teeth and your bloodstream.
What to Expect
On the day of your root canal, we will show you to one of our treatment chairs, where you can put on a pair of our MINT dentistry sunglasses and be offered a pair of our Beats headphones. It's important that you feel relaxed while you undergo treatment, so the MINT dentistry team will help you select the appropriate type of sedation for the procedure. Patients usually prefer oral-conscious or nitrous oxide gas for sedation to keep them comfortable during the procedure. Once you are ready, your doctor will carefully remove the infected pulp using state-of-the-art tools and techniques. After this, the inside of the empty tooth will be thoroughly sterilized. After your tooth is sanitized, it will be filled with a special material to protect and seal it. In most cases, a crown will be cemented over the treated tooth to strengthen and protect it.
Depending on what sedation was used, you may need to ask a friend or family member to drive you after your procedure. Your mouth and lower face might be swollen or sensitive for a few days, which is why your dentist might write you a prescription for a pain relieving medication. You need to make another appointment around six months after your root canal. Our team will ensure your tooth has healed and the infection is gone. After this, we recommend you continue to schedule annual dental exams and bi-annual cleanings to maintain your dental health.
